Upholstery & Carpet Extraction

Fabric upholstery and carpeting can get saturated with staining discoloration from liquid spills, food substances, sweat, bodily fluids (person or pet), embedded dirt, oil and many other protein based stains. An extraction machine and a properly trained VDX professional can remove deep soiled staining with the right pre treatment to loosen and lift the embedded stains from the carpet and/or fabric effectively without over saturating the surface. With that being said, there is a misconception that every carpet and fabric need extraction in order for the interior to achieve its best outcome. Actually that’s false, there are other successful ways to clean fabrics and carpeting successfully. Improper extraction can create a mold environment beneath the surface and possibly set the stains permanently with a term called “wickening” . However, extraction can be extremely beneficial under certain circumstances, but usually is a last resort when the stains on the top surface soak down beneath the visible fabric or carpet.
